 Celebration of  Swachh Bharat Day

On 29 September 2016 our school observed the Swachh Bharat Day. The Swachh Bharat Day traces its roots back to Nirmal Bharat Abhiyan which was started on 1 April 1999. The  Prime Minister of India Mr. Narendra Modi launched the campaign by commemorating the father of nation Mahatma Gandhi. It was an instant success and enjoyed support of various national and international organisations like the World Bank etc. For the past two years our school has been participating enthusiastically in activities related to Swachh Bharat Day. This year also, the school celebrated the ‘clean India’ drive on 29 September and contributed towards this initiative by conducting following activities:-

  • Community sanitation work in the vicinity

Our students participated in cleaning of the Ghorakhal village, Golu baba temple and area in the vicinity of the academic block and the school campus.

  •  Competitions
  • Debate organized on various topics related to Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.SWATCH5
  • Painting and slogan writing competitions were organized.
  • Plantation drive
  • Saplings of Deodar, Oak  and Pangar were planted in the school campus by the officers, staff members and students.
